CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat, has released Advertisement No. 08/2026-REC for CSIR NEIST Security Officer Recruitment 2026. This is a good chance for ex-servicemen and experienced paramilitary personnel who want a stable Government job in Assam. The institute is a well-known research laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which works under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Along with basic pay, the employee gets Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance as admissible to Central Government employees at Jorhat, which is a Class Z city. The final merit list depends only on Paper-II marks. The physical test includes running, long jump, chin-ups, push-ups and sit-ups for men, and running, long jump and sit-ups for women.
