Andaman & Nicobar Administration CHSL Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 716 Group B & C Posts

The Andaman & Nicobar Administration has released a major recruitment notification for 716 vacancies across Group B (Non-Gazetted) and Group C posts under its various departments. This combined recruitment drive, officially designated as the Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination 2026, offers a wide range of career opportunities for candidates who have cleared their Class 12 or equivalent examination. The recruitment covers 38 different post types spread across departments such as the Directorate of Shipping, Department of Environment & Forests, Directorate of Agriculture, Directorate of Education, Chief Pay And Accounts Office, Directorate of Transport, Port Management Board, The Municipal Council Sri Vijaya Puram, and several others. The selection process will be conducted through a Tablet Based Test (TBT), which is a computer-based examination lasting 120 minutes for general candidates and 160 minutes for visually handicapped or cerebral palsy candidates. The exam covers four subjects — English Language, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness — each carrying 50 marks for a total of 200 marks. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer, so candidates must attempt questions carefully. Candidates who qualify the TBT may subsequently be called for a Physical Standard/Endurance/Skill/Trade Test (Tier II) for relevant posts, which will be qualifying in nature. Final selection will be based on TBT merit, subject to document verification. The application window opens on 15 June 2026 (from 12:00 Noon) and closes on 5 July 2026 (till 12:00 Midnight). Age limits vary by post group: for Group B (NG) posts, the upper age limit is 30 years for both males and females; for Group C posts, it is 33 years for males and 38 years for females. Standard age relaxations apply for ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and Central Government employees. The closing date of the application window serves as the reference date for calculating age.
