I. For the disciplines of Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Option A:
  1. Master’s Degree: A Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever grading is followed) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  2. NET Qualification: The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR.
     • Exemptions from NET may be granted under specific conditions as mentioned in the General Note of the document.
• Option B:
  1. Ph.D. Degree: The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the world university ranking (at any time), as per one of the following:
     • Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
     • The Times Higher Education (THE)
     • The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

II. For the discipline of Management Studies:

i) Essential Qualifications:

1. First-Class Master’s Degree in Business Management, Administration, or a related field, or a First-Class in a two-year full-time PGDM recognized by AIU/AICTE/UGC.
   • Alternatively, the candidate could be a Chartered Accountant, Cost and Works Accountant, or Company Secretary, professionally qualified by the respective statutory bodies.
2. NET Qualification: The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR.
   • Exemptions may apply as per the General Note.
3. Ph.D. Degree: A Ph.D. degree obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the world university ranking (at any time) by:
   • Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)
   • The Times Higher Education (THE)
   • ARWU by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

ii) Desirable Qualifications:

1. Teaching, research, industrial, and/or professional experience in a reputed organization.
2. Papers presented at conferences and/or published in refereed journals.
