Special Assam TET 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online
The Department of School Education, Government of Assam has released the Special Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 notification for Lower Primary (Classes I–V) and Upper Primary (Classes VI–VIII) levels. This special examination is conducted to address the shortage of Language-1 teachers in Bodo, Garo, Manipuri, and Hmar medium schools across Assam. Eligible permanent residents of Assam can apply online from 07 January 2026 to 07 February 2026. The examination consists of Paper I and Paper II, each carrying 150 marks. Qualifying this TET is mandatory for participating in future teacher recruitment processes in Assam government and provincialised schools.
