The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has officially released Advertisement No. 04/2026-27 inviting online applications for the post of Accounts Officer, Class-I under the Finance Department of the Government of Gujarat. Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Exam will be called for the Main Written Examination, which includes five descriptive papers totalling 900 marks covering Gujarati Language, English Language, General Studies, and two papers on Accountancy & Auditing. Finally, shortlisted candidates will appear for a 100-mark Viva Voce (oral interview) at GPSC Bhavan, Gandhinagar. The post carries Pay Matrix Level 10 with a salary range of ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month along with admissible government allowances including DA, HRA, and TA. After successful appointment, candidates will be placed on probation for a period of two years, during which they must clear required departmental examinations and training programs. Reservation benefits are available for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Women, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-Servicemen candidates as per Gujarat government norms.
